Lincoln is a strong little man. He has never been a little boy but always been an old man. He is one of my beautiful nephews who I adore so much.

He has the most infectious smile and is always there for a cuddle. Being a typical boy he is obsessed with his cars, bikes and the item that is way up there is his prize possession being his work boots that are just like Dads (my brother Adam).

Lincoln is a very protective younger brother to my very sweet nieces Rhianna and Madison. But if anyone looks the wrong way to this boy his big sisters aren’t far away to be there for him.

Just thinking about him makes me smile. With the nickname of squishy I miss him tremendously and can’t wait to give him a cuddle next time I see him.

Mother’s Day – Viv

So with Mother’s Day coming up and we all know that our mums have everything why not get them a personalised frame filled with her children’s names. This is a little early and thank god my mum doesn’t visit online much so I hope I am safe with her not finding out what her surprise is but I am sure she will like the gift I have made for her.

I am blessed to have 3 gorgeous brothers, Adam, Quinton & Owen and all of our names do connect quite well but most names will connect and if not there are other ways of making them do so. For instance adding additional words such as family, love, mother, mum, their name etc.

Mother’s Day History

Origin of Mother’s Day goes back to the era of ancient Greek and Romans. But the roots of Mother’s Day history can also be traced in UK where a Mothering Sunday was celebrated much before the festival saw the light of the day in US. However, the celebration of the festival as it is seen today is a recent phenomenon and not even a hundred years old.

Thanks to the hard work of the pioneering women of their times, Julia Ward Howe and Anna Jarvis that the day came into existence. Today the festival of Mothers day is celebrated across 46 countries (though on different dates) and is a hugely popular affair. Millions of people across the globe take the day as an opportunity to honor their mothers, thank them for their efforts in giving them life, raising them and being their constant support and well wisher.

So the question was posed to me what do you get a 12 year old boy for his birthday that has everything and wants something unusual and different.

As we all know this age can be very difficult for gift giving and hoping and praying they will like what you get them. Kristen was a perfect client – she opened up full creativity license for me. The only thing I had to go on was that his favourite song was “Give Me Love by Ed Sheeran”.

This being quite fitting with Ed just touring Melbourne and with this in mind I came up with a design which included Kristen’s brothers’ name along with the song title and artist name. Also what better way to pay homage to his much-loved song by having the lyrics as the backdrop.

By also adding in the polaroid of the famous Ed it bought a real sense of depth and character.

As you can see the whole concept came together very well and I am very proud with the custom By The Letter Z creation and more importantly so is Kristen.

Mason

Mason is one of my gorgeous nephews who is turning one in the month of April. He has the most beautiful laugh and sweet smile you have seen.

What better way to celebrate his birthday then with his own personalised frame and probably a few other gifts in the bundle as well (us Aunts just can’t help ourselves – can we).

Mason shares his middle name with my dearly departed granddad Victor so what better way to pay tribute to that and showcase it in his nursery.

Thinking about that cheeky smile and contagious laugh while constructing Mason’s piece of artwork made me smile.

He is a joy to cuddle and to be with and the moments I do get to share with him are cherished.

Hope my brother and his wife love it as much as I do.

So this one is a little different – I was requested to create a quirky piece for a lovely ladies birthday who loves the funny side of life. This come about from a lot of laughter about an Urban Dictionary search of her name – Rosie.

Rosie is also a fellow blogger – aredlipandanudeshoe.com.  She loves all things fashion, beauty, travel and food + wine.

ROE-zee

A person, usually a girl, who is extraordinary in every way, shape, and form. Her beauty surpasses that of any other girl in the world, for her beauty shines forth like a radiant sun. Her smile can light up an entire city for years it is so vibrant and beautiful. She is extremely sexy and beautiful even though she would never admit it openly. She’s the kind of person who is shy at first, but when you get to know her, you find she is cute, funny, silly and caring.

Whenever you see her walking down a street, you can see the angels that follow her with harps at the ready, for when she speaks, her voice is like that of an infinite number of harps being played by the most perfect angels found in heaven. Her love has no limits; her friendship extends even to those who have hurt her in the past. Every person who has met a Rosie just knows she will amount to something amazing in the future.

Her laugh and giggle is highly contagious to those around her. Be warned: if you fall for a Rosie, she will steal your heart, but do not be alarmed, for it is in the hands of an angel, and she will return the amount of trust and love you give her back to you, including the giving of her warm, loving heart.

Education Changemakers

Education Changemakers are Australia’s premiere education learning experience for passionate educators who are ready to step up in their leadership journey and create change in their school. They only employ facilitators who are former education leaders who have made change in schools.

With that being said my wonderfully talented, passionate friend Summer (@EduSum) has had the privilege of joining.

After seeing the way she talks about each and everyone in her team it was important to me to show how very proud I am of her and of course Education Changemakers.

With their corporate colours being the vibrant orange I have echoed this throughout their design.

As you can see all of the team connect with the company name and this was paramount when the layout was designed. This was essential as they all have qualities and achievements that boost one another.

Rajan & Kristen

Rajan and Kristen are a dear couple that announced their engagement not too long ago and I wanted to get them something a little less traditional and to know that they wouldn’t receive anything as personalised as one of my gifts.

What better way to celebrate with them but to create the first bytheletterz frame.

It was a pleasure to construct the connections between these beautiful two. Both of them are, in my mind, very classic and so very much in love.

The only thing I had to go with was to ask Rajan what his favourite colour. This was ‘black’! With the dark frame it was only fitting to team this with a dark background but with all the words of love – romance, love, always, heart, happiness, forever, sweetheart – as they will share these emotions together.
